|QUESTION'S AND ANSWER'S|
Why is better waxing than other depilation forms?
Because The method removes the hair at the root. When new hair grows back it feels softer and is more sparse.
It is fast, and skin feels and looks softer than using any other depilation method.
Wax depilation last longer.
How often do I need to get the waxing done?
Every 3 to 5 weeks. Ideally you should have it redone in about 2 weeks but depends on how fast your hair grows and that varies from person to person.
I'm too embarrassed to get a Brazilian. Can't I just do it myself?
No. Don't try to wax this delicate area by yourself. It's difficult to apply the wax, hold the skin tight, get the right leverage and then pull and pull quickly, all at the same time. It's not like waxing your legs where all the hair grows in the same direction. On the labia for example, hairs tend to grow in more than one direction. This often requires waxing each side twice - once in each direction. To attempt your own Brazilian wax means worthless pain, let me clarify, pain without getting the hair out, and ugly purple bruising. Seek out an expert for this job.
How long does the hair need to be to get a Brazilian or a Bikini wax?
The hairs have to be about 1/4 of a inch long in order for the wax to grab and pull the hairs out so you have to let it grow out for your follow-up appointments. For the first wax, do trim a bit if you have long hair. Long hairs make the aesthetician's job a little harder.
When will the redness be completely gone?
Drawing from experience, all redness is gone by the next 40 min to the next morning in sensitive skin.
Does waxing hurt less the second time?
Emphatically yes! If you don't wait too long, the second time around the hairs will be shorter, thinner and sparser because they're not fully matured. This makes removal a little less painful (still hurts) and has the added bonus of shortening the length of your appointment. A second wax is more effective than a first wax too.
Keep up the waxing. Don't wax, then shave, then wax. Is like starting all over again.
How much hair is actually removed in the Brazilian wax?
The entire pubic region is waxed, leaving a small section is an option (2-3 fingers wide) above the vaginal area or you can just have all the hair removed, from the front to the back.
Why do women want to go to this extreme with Brazilian wax?
It allows women to comfortably wear revealing swim wear and lingerie, looks neat, it feels clean & men love it!
What does one wear while the Brazilian waxing is taking place?
Nothing from the waist down.
Wearing a skirt or loose apparel instead of tight pants or jeans is recommended.
Does wax promote ingrown hairs?
No, wax prevents ingrown hairs, but some women have serious problems with ingrown hairs, so, in those cases it doesn't matter what kind of depilation you use. This varies from individual to individual. One way to prevent ingrown is to use a washcloth and wash briskly in the shower and/or towel off briskly after bathing to discourage ingrown. Based on getting other parts of your body waxed you can make a pretty good judgment as to whether ingrown may be problematic for you.
Is it itchy when it grows back (bikini area)?
Not usually, especially if is kept up, because the hair grows thinner and soft. It does differ from person to person, however, the itch from shaving can drive you crazy.
What is the effect on the skin?
As dead skin cells are removed in this process the skin can feel quite smooth afterwards. The waxing action does cause the skin to sting and many find a soothing skin healing cream to be helpful afterwards.
Some persons find the skin reacts with redness and bumps which disappear after a few hours.
Are there any health precautions to keep in mind?
Waxing should not be done on areas of skin affected by warts, pimples, moles or rashes or on skin that is irritated, chapped or suffering from sunburn. Never apply wax to peeling, broken skin or varicose veins.
Never apply wax to the nipples when removing hair from the breast area.
On what body areas can waxing be used?
It is wise to test a small area first but generally waxing can be used on most parts of the body. The exceptions are the male genitals, nipples, inside the ears and nose.
